UK
Some thirty years ago I was invited to London by Mary Stewart, a very experienced Yoga teacher trained by B.K. Iyengar. Mary had met Vanda Scaravelli, and was really inspired by her approach. She was keen to introduce Vanda's special approach to her many students.
Vanda's yoga possessed a different and unique rhythm - one that could bring more understanding of the true needs of the body. This unique approach required an incredible amount of peeling off of layers, until the body's deep intelligence could come to the surface and create a deep sense of well-being.
Vanda visited London on her way to Toronto, where she would live some months each year with her daughter Paola. Over time yoga teachers from England would come to study with Vanda in Florence. Together with Florence, London and Toronto are the places where her teachings have borne the most fruit.
Nowadays I hold seminars frequently in a variety of places in the UK including Scotland, London and the West Country.
